Arrived in Sydney

Well we have finally arrived in Australia – the culmination of 8 months of planning, saving, researching and dreaming..
We arrived yesterday at around 8am in the morning after a pretty long and tiring (I didn’t sleep) overnight flight from Kuala Lumpur. We breezed through customs, and got outside to join the very long taxi line [...]

Surfing in Kuala Lumpur

I’m sitting in Kuala Lumpur airport – 1.5 hours until our flight to Australia. We just went over to the web cafe and asked how much for internet – was about $10/hour. Then we asked how much for wireless, and she told us the airport has free wireless – so this entry is coming to [...]

Last day in Kta

Watching the Superbowl

Internet is realllly slow here today – very frustrating.
Sarah and I got up v. early this morning, to catch the Superbowl – we watched it at a bar we went to the other night – “Double D”. Nick fromĀ Baliblog was there also along with about a dozen other people.
It was an interesting experience watching in [...]

Back in Kuta

We are back in Kuta tonight after spending a couple of relaxing days in the peace and quiet of Ubud.
Yesterday we went to a restaurant called “Bumbu Bali” – which is also a cooking school. The food was amazing – I had squid cooked in coconut and Balinese spices, and Sarah had fish cooked in [...]
